Also it will work it my iPad but I haven't done that yet.&nbsp; <br>I get 10% for tinitus and also am classified as hearing disabled.&nbsp; I get 10% for tinitus but not for hearing loss as it isn't quite bad enough.&nbsp; I have to convince them that one year on a DBF and 5 years around high speed turbines, etc. caused me to lose some of my hearing.&nbsp; I tried once and it was turned down.&nbsp; I am not giving up.&nbsp; Going back in March/April to try again.&nbsp; This time with DAV assistance.&nbsp; <br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://RontiniSubmarineBBS.com/member_profile.asp?PF=72">Dantini</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3774<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 05 Jan 2017 at 9:16am<br /><br />I mentioned this before, but will repeat it now for any of you trying to get help from the VA.<div>&nbsp;</div><div>DON'T TRY DOING IT BY YOURSELF.&nbsp; Make sure you go talk with a Veterans Service Officer.&nbsp; They know what to say, who to say it to, and will submit all the paperwork&nbsp;needed for you.&nbsp; All you have to do is to sit back and wait.&nbsp;&nbsp; VSOs get paid to help veterans file claims.&nbsp; Don't ask the VA doctors to assist you with any claims.&nbsp; That is not in their job description.&nbsp; I work with several good VSOs in my area and they are very competent.</div>]]>

During sea trials on the Miami, they<br>had to prove the evaporator could produce good<br>water while in a vacuum, so they cycled the head<br>valve open and shut on the diesel and maintained<br>about 2" of mercury vacuum. That was focking painful. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp; I got SHAT from the VA for my hearing loss.<br><br><br>hagar<br>]]>

Could this be a cause of the many hearing problems among us and our associates? Do you remember the holes drilled in the hearing protection for the Diesel Operator that weren't sealed so you could use the sound powered phones? How about the debicile level in the High Pac bay and no hearing protection. Were our ears regularly checked and flushed of wax buildup if necessary? These are all routine things these days because of the danger of hearing impairment and OSHA.</font>]]>
