So sorry for your loss.

Be careful my friend that itdoesn't grind you down. My wife had her stroke 3 years ago thismonth. A bad journey for sure and now she is in hospice care.Although she has come to terms with what awaits her, that slow triptoward the inevitable conclusion has nearly broken me. 52 yearstogether is no small thing.

As my daughter said “I wantmom to have peace and wholeness in heaven.” Your wife is there now.Mine will soon follow. Sometimes even the memories won't suffice.Reality always trumps. And reality will come at you when you leastexpect it. Have a friend or relative that you can call on. I triedbooze for a while and it is certainly no friend. Don't do it.

Best advice I have received is“make no big decisions for one year.” Seems like good advice.

Something I constantly rely on:

MayGod grant me the ability to change the things that I can,
toaccept the things I cannot change,
and the wisdom to know thedifference.
