    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://RontiniSubmarineBBS.com/member_profile.asp?PF=213">67440Dodge</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6011<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 26 Apr 2025 at 8:00am<br /><br /><div>Was very active in the old forum in the 90's/early 00's.&nbsp; Drove down to Most Coast Bash with Ramjet, did a Torsk work weekend, met bunch of the New England crowd one time at Albacore.&nbsp; Met Gil quite a few times when he'd come east and one time went to Houston.&nbsp; Met lot of great people thru the old site during that time, and unfortunately lost one of the best couple years ago.&nbsp; Gil's advertising business website was done on a converted desktop made into a web/email/file server I setup and maintained for him remotely til it was moved to a "cloud" based server</div><div><br></div><div>In 1998 Ron and Gil took a chance on someone with a f***ed up head and let him run their table at the Hagerstown USSVI convention. I still remember the shock from Ron when he found out how much was sold those days.&nbsp;&nbsp; By doing that, it said maybe I could work again, and I did.&nbsp; For 19 yrs I was the Sr. Systems Engineer at a college.&nbsp; <br></div><div><br></div><div>I run a car enthusiast website for old Dodges, and we too have seen the decline in postings,&nbsp; we went from about couple hundred users down to 3 that post regularly.&nbsp; As someone mentioned in another post,&nbsp; Facebook Groups has taken over.&nbsp;&nbsp; So it's now just kept as an archive for people to look back on and remember friends we lost.</div><div><br></div><div>So thanks again Ron and Gil..&nbsp; like they say.. all good things come to an end.</div><div><br></div>]]>
