Not necessarily for the cooks, but for the eaters. Is BBQ taste primarily the meat? Primarily the sauce? Or is it a combination of the two? I have often heard the term, stolen from Guy Fieri, "You could put that on a flip flop and it would be great". I also note the bread applies a certain taste. Me I think it is a combination of them all.

I would agree about the combination of the entire package. However, the taste buds can be affected by the number of beers one consumes prior to dining.

Well, with Greyhounds, I would guess you have several chewed Flip Flops to try the sauce on.
