Doc had lived in the Tennessee mountains since he retired. He had a big deck behind the house that stretched out over a deep, steep ravine. One afternoon he had dozed off in the sun on the deck. Some noise woke him up, and he looked around. A five hundred pound Black Bear had gotten onto the deck and was between Doc and the house. Now Doc was a former Submariner, and a retired Physiologist. He immediately realized he was in the deep dark sh*ts. Then he thought about it. He slowly reached in the cooler and pulled out two beers. He opened both, and handed one to the bear. When Doc drank, so did the bear. They emptied the cooler, and Doc when into the house and got the last two beers out of the fridge. Now they were out of beer, and kind of hungry. Doc thought about it, and loaded the loaded bear up in the pickup truck. He drove to a local tavern. He and the bear came inside and staggered up to the bar. The Doc said give me a beer and a hamburger. Then he thought about something. He asked the bartender if they served Democrats in here. The bar tender said the law said they had to. So Doc says,  give my buddy a beer and a Democrat. A hamburger just wouldn't be enough for him.
