I would guess all the subs are clearing out of harbor, if at all possible. I can remember leaving Weapons Station one time in the seventies due to a Hurricane. Didn't add anytime to the refit, just increased the hours of work and canceled liberties. We left when we were supposed to for patrol.

Isn't it quite aways off-shore to diveable depths? Through swells generated by incoming gale force easterly winds; an unappetizing thought.

The Hurricane Bill at SUBASE NLON in the day called for breasting out from the  pier and  submerging. DBF.

I know I've seen posts regarding Charleston boats  submerging in the Cooper River for 'canes in that area.
