OK, You are just reporting aboard a USS Seawolf  (SSN 21).  You need to supervise the painting of draft marks. Lets say the draft marks on the bow run up to 30 feet.  (I don't know whether they actually do.)  You are smarter than the average rock and "I don't need to lookup no f'in plans, I'm qualified!!!"

How far it is between the top of the numeral "29" and the bottom of the numeral "30".
