I qualified on the USS Queenfish (SS-393) 56 years and 3 days ago.  On 15 APR 62 at the 0800 muster topside our CO, LCDR Skirm, shook my hand, congratulated me and handed me a brand new shiny silver dolphins pin.  That was one of the most significant events in my life up to that time and, to this day, still remains one of the top several.  Inducted into the Holland Club in 2012.

It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues.~Abe Lincoln
