The nice thing about slide rules was no batteries to die, or electronic components to go tits up, at the worst moment. Wink

And they come in various sizes and shapes... I have a half dozen still... linear, round, Is-Was, Bearing Rate, regular.

I think for Uranium 238 it was like 1.47 ????   Ratio of fast neutrons starting to slow down to Slow Neutrons remaining and available to fission.

Believe it or not, that is from memory and likely is totally wrong.
