The USS Cod (museum boat in Cleveland) is now securely on the blocks in Donjon Shipbuilding's Erie Drydock and crews are actively blasting away 58 years of marine growth from her underwater hull. Some areas are far better than we could expect while others are sobering reminders that corrosion never sleeps. The Donjon staff are experts in their field and we're confident that they will find solutions to the problems facing USS Cod in the next six to eight weeks.

I know that river well when I was working on some petroleum barges back a million years ago it seems. They can get quite the unexpected currents due to up stream events.

Good to hear Cod is getting some attention.

Any day now, I'm expecting to hear that they finally sunk Clamagore.  I don't know whether to be happy or sad that it was happening, she is in really rough shape.

Clamagore was a hot running Squadron II boat on the River in NLON in the 1960s.

Yeah, gone.  I have mixed feelings, but I'm so busy with work these days that i don't want to have the worry over it added on.
