Clearly in 1941 and 42 the Mk. 14 was running deep. Changes were made in 1943 and s made
1943 show the result. 















The U.S. subs sank 1314 vessels with 4831 hits from 14398 fired. 
There were many others damaged but made it back to port. 










We lost 52 subs but not all by enemy action. We lost 3500 men while
sinking 30% of their Navy and 60% of their merchant fleet with just
2% of the U.S.'s strength.   gth.















The 4 carriers that attacked Pearl Harbor were sunk at Midway 6 months
later!
