Terrible news. Hagar will be sorely missed around here.

Only knew him through his posts, but liked him. He is gone too young. Be with your family in this moment, and hopefully they will only have pleasant thoughts.
Walt,
Had I done everything right throughout my life, the World wouldn't have noticed.

I remember when he made Chief. He couldn't wait to get back to sea.

Then he made SCPO and was on his way.

I fully expected him to do a COB tour but San Fran ended that

RIP

Danny was one of my heroes for his actions during the USS San Francisco incident, plus he gave me and three of my buds an amazing tour of USS Florida over at Bangor...thank you SCPO Danny Hagar, and rest your oar, my friend.

Senior Chief Danny Hager was the senior representative of the group of shipmates on the USS San Francisco, SSN 711, that brought Joey back to his family Jan. 2005. A special hero to me.
