I wanted them; thought they looked cool.  Just put it off until other expenditures, like those associated with a spouse and children, had a higher priority.  I waited too long. Confused

Got my 2 pair of Seafarer whites with flared bells and tight jumper, near Bell's Bar right outside NOB gate.
Now I thought I looked like a sailor should...Those boot camp jumpers could have fit me if I was 3 sizes bigger. Glad to give them up.  ClapClap

Got my issue uniform 'Spiked and belled' plus Mermaids in the cuffs first weekend out of boot camp at the 7-Seas on Broadway in San Diego Then when I went West I had Golden Dragons put in then later put the Mermaids back as they looked better.

Now many years later I collect Liberty Cuffs and have over 60 different pairs. Also have 67 shoulder rockers all Submarine Fish Named. I also have one rocker that was white for the whites and 3 smaller white Liberty Cuffs. The white ones didn't go over very well. They all are getting harder to find as sailors don't wear their uniforms very often now. Sad.
