Shipmates,
Well it's that time of year again. Time to post my favorite Submariner Christmas story.
Don't post much anymore since my wife's stroke two years ago but I check in to read your postings. (She is permanently residing in a care facility In Charlottesville, VA - near where our daughter works at the UofVA Med. Ctr.)
I'm wintering over here in Linda's and my http://www.northofseveycorners.com/slcnys/close_to_heaven/spring_2008.htm" rel="nofollow - Sweet Spot while conferring with the family about what to let go, what to keep, and determine where it's all going. But sorry to say much of the old joy has gone. Good friends who drop by - plus the frequent phonecons with Linda and our family has helped keep me on track.
As James Brown put it in one of his songs, http://www.northofseveycorners.com/ntins/bbs-023.htm" rel="nofollow - " Money won't harm you' but time will take you on". Indeed time has taken us on. But so far I'm doing OK and still maintaining a zero bubble. So Merry Christmas to all on this board and remember to love those closest to you. Even the best of journeys eventually come to an end.
Sid
