Do you remember when it was considered SECRET that any of the subs actually went under the ice? That subs did it to check for potential launch capabilities? Now it is far more than common knowledge. The Hartford and Connecticut are the US Fast attacks this year. Wonder who will have Polar Bear watch? Also wonder if an M-16 is Polar Bear medicine? Then there is the almost obligatory softball game. Conners against Nukes.

ICEXs are more scientific activities than military. When I went on them they were more for military needs than scientific.
