Paul L. Quinn, 93, passed away on June 4, 2018 at home.

Paul was born in Longview, Washington to Roswell and Lydia Quinn. He graduated from Kelso High School, Kelso, WA where he starred in football and basketball. Paul was awarded an appointment to the US Naval Academy where he graduated in 1948 and continued in service to his country as a submariner. Paul continued his education with a master's degree from Catholic University (Electrical Engineering, 1962), as he returned to the Naval Academy as a professor and ultimately varsity crew coach. Paul then followed a calling to the ministry, graduating from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 1973 and eventually taking up residence as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dover, New Hampshire. Paul eventually returned to academia and coaching at Embry Riddle University where he taught Electrical Engineering and started a crew program that he coached well into his 80's.

Paul was a devoted husband to his wife, Carolyn (nee Bordner), who was very supportive of his endeavors. He had a curiosity and zest for life, always trying new things and helping others. He touched many lives through his years of teaching and coaching and maintained a positive outlook until the very end.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Paula Westcott of Titusville; grandson Daniel Westcott (Emma Cartwright) of Ridgefield, CT; and his greatgrandchildren, Taylor Futch, Kara Futch, Quinn Westcott, Teddy Westcott and Charlie Westcott.

Memorial gifts honoring Paul can be sent to the Overcomers Ministry, in care of Christ Central Church, 4235 Mt. Sterling Ave., Titusville 32780.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Central Church, Titusville, on June 25th at 7:30pm.

A funeral service at the United States Naval Academy will be held at a future date.
