Narwhal received four additional tubes, two under superstructure just
forward of bridge and two under after deck gun. On Nautilus, in 1943,
the forward deck tubes were relocated nearer the bow in the
superstructure. Narwhal, in 1942, got two additional tubes forward
near the bow and two aft near stern. The forward tubes under the
bridge were removed and the aft tubes under the deck gun were
retained for pressure tight storage containers.
