Chinese student goes to prison for photographing Key West Naval Air Station

KEY WEST, Fla. — A Chinese student has been sentenced to a year in federal prison after pleading guilty to illegally taking photos of a U.S. military installation in the Florida Keys.

A federal judge imposed the sentence Tuesday on 20-year-old  https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/florida-keys/article222552930.html" rel="nofollow - Zhao Qianli .

Authorities say he took photos in September of sensitive areas of the  https://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/cnrse/installations/nas_key_west.html" rel="nofollow - Key West Naval Air Station  after walking around a fence into a well-marked restricted zone.

I was volunteering at the San Diego History Center when they were having a military history exhibit.
We would have Chinese tourists come through and take pictures of all the exhibits as fast as they could walk. They would only look at the military portion of the museum.

Most of the exhibits were mostly of obsolete materials.
