USS California commissioned Oct. 2011

USS California completed Post Shakedown Availability Jan 2013

USS California first deployment 2014

USS California to Portsmouth 2019

USS California returned to Fleet June 16, 2021

So 5 years in service and 2 years in the yard! Or 10 years in commission and 5 years not in deployment!

Our manufacturing standards are slipping.

The reactor was NOT refueled during this lasts overhaul.

Someone please tell me what took so long and why the boat only served 5 years.

I remember the 598 and 599 being in service 6 years before their first overhaul.
