Boomers have 3 month deployments. Why did the USS Indiana just return to Groton after 6 months?

Because it's an SSN and that's what they do?

Diesel boat WesPac deployments were 6-7 months. Med trips were 6 months.

SSN's normally also deploy for 6 months.

The deployment does not mean all the time was spent at sea. Normally there were port calls during the trip.
