I know not many people read this, but figured share experience this weekend in Groton area with a Canadian friend.  Went to the Museum, and lot has changed since last there in 2016.  They now have a marble wall dedicated to the 41 For Freedom boats.  Ran into a few bubbleheads, one said he was a YN on the Michigan in late 80's/early 90's, but called me a skimmer cause I was wearing a Andrew Jackson ballcap.  His wife called him a dumbass when I pointed out SSBN meant same for his boat as mine...  Stayed at Navy Lodge, and unreal how different it was from the 90's, it's on par with most hotels along Highway 12.  Drove on base for a bit, lots same, lot different.  Dive tower long gone, they now have the Momsen building to teach how to escape from a boat.  Only thing still can't grasp (and couple of active duty guys there agreed) was women wearing dolphins.  But all agreed, if they can do the job, then let em at it.

Anyhow, felt good to do below decks on Nautilius and smell the smell, amazing how it's still there after all these years..
