Weatherby, the iconic California Rifle Company is moving to Sheridan Wyoming for clean air, better politics and the outdoors for it's employees. Ron, your little golf course is about to get crowded.

Weatherby isn't the only company that is leaving the Soviet Socialist Republik of Kalifornia.
Many people are also bailing out. I'm in the process of GROJ so I can move too. Don't know where I will go, but it won't be in the desert Southwest. I want to see green trees and rivers that have water instead of sand.

What I like about Georgia. They don't tax my retirements, or withdrawals from 401K as long as that doesn't exceed $64,000 a year. Has good medical facilities. Has some nice hills they like to call mountains. Has some decent weather as long as you stay North of the Gnat line. Decent fishing both fresh and salt. Plus highly limited snow. Now you do have to accept snakes, gators and hogs along with the good.

I gots me a thudy-thudy to take care of them hogs. What about far ants and killer bees? I know, my southern accent is terrible, but I am a southern boy - southern Kalifornia that is. Wink

I have friends in a suburb of Atlanta - Griffin, who was on minesweeps in LANTFLT, and another in south GA in Tifton.

Georgia was on my mind, along with Chattanooga TN and across the line in N. Alabama. Don't know yet, but as bad as any could be, they wouldn't be as bad as Kalifornia politics.

The folks I know that retired and left Albany, went to Tifton mostly. I knew some that did it while working, even though the commute was 45 minutes. They felt it was worth it for the area, and to get out of Dougherty  County. If it weren't for friends and relatives in the Albany area, I would move to Tifton.
