Right now, it is pretty bad. The elementary school in Irwin county closed so they can sanitize everything. Too many teachers and students out to keep it open. Fifty school bus drivers in one district are out with the flu, so no way to get the students to school. Other drivers handling four routes. Tamiflu is in short supply. When the Grand Daughter got diagnosed with the flu, it took an hour to find a Pharmacy that had some. Plus, with no insurance, it cost $215 for one ten tablet pack. I paid the price, as it was the only game in town. No liquid available anywhere around here. Clinics and Doctor's working expanded hours to accommodate patients. We wear face masks and surgical gloves when we go out to try and avoid exposure. Shopping early in the day when the stores are empty. How is it in your area?
Walt,
Had I done everything right throughout my life, the World wouldn't have noticed.

Down here in SE Florida you hear a lot on the news. As far as I know the schools are all open. Haven't heard of any flu vaccine shortages. I do find that interesting since there's a load of geezers here who may be more susceptible to the flu. As for me, I don't recall ever getting the flu.

So far so good, I'm avoiding contact as much as possible.  When I get the flu, as I have in the past, I really get the flu.  I'm also compromised by the loss of one lung, so I 'm taking as few chances as I can.
So I'm glad I live out here on the edge of the Ocala National Forrest and will hope I will avoid it this year.

My best to all and good luck.
