Lake Loretta is a Home-Owner's owned lake that is now well within the City. There is always controversy over joggers trespassing, folks stealing the flag from a platform in the middle of the lake, trespassing fishermen and geese chasing folks and filling the lake with droppings. Now an alligator has shown up. The DNR tells us that they are migrating this time of year. BS, that gator would have had to take a bus to get from the nearest gator area to this lake. Someone decided to take action, and address the concerns of the owners all in one swoop. Waiting to see how this all plays out. I should mention if you are ever forced to attend Company Social training by a lake, and there is a particularly obnoxious type there that is drunk and keeping folks awake all night. If he wakes up one morning with an alligator in bed with him, appropriately taped up mind you, and a note that says next time. They tend to stay sober and not dare offend anyone after that experience. Of course the DNR took a dim view of the stunt, but couldn't prove a thing. For some reason they told me not to harass the alligators because I was nice enough to release the four footer that morning.

While in younger days. I may have messed with an alligator or two. However, in old age I find that they have gotten quicker and meaner. No it wasn't me, this time. However there does seem to be a kindred spirit out there.
