The report Gerry posted is 1/4th of the total of approximately 3600 pages.  It is unfortunate that so much is edited out.  As if the Russians don't know!  LOL
I find this entire thing fascinating, even Rickover's testimony in Part 3.
I have a book in my possession: "Loss of the U.S.S. Thresher" Hearings before the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy of the United States-Eighty-Eighth Congress and contains the testimony on June 26, 27, July 23 1963 and some documents in 1964.  Printed by U.S. Government Printing Office: 1965.
In it were 40 pages of testimony by Adm. Rickover.  In it he is extremely correct  and with a very sharp intellect and never rude.  I was impressed
The book is 6X9" and 192 pages.
