A Cy Young Award winner struck out a Heisman Trophy winner.  The first time these two have faced off.

Not the first time this has happened though.

Not earth shaking, just interesting.

Was an Auburn Player involved in the last time this happened?
Walt,
Had I done everything right throughout my life, the World wouldn't have noticed.

Why yes, Mr. Snipe, I believe one was.

Who did he face?

I'd say Vincent "Bo" Jackson and Roger Clemens

I think so but am not positive.  Probably on Monday, May 9, 1988 at Royals Stadium

There may be others.  Need to check through all Heisman winners to see if anyone else played baseball for a major league team but may be only in spring training.  Hmmmmm.

The only other Heisman winner to play baseball was Vic Janowicz but he played for the Pirates in 52, 53 and the Cy Young winners who he would have faced were all in the other league.  So not likely him.

Thats all folks.

OK, I misread your post, thought you were saying Janowicz was the ONLY Heisman winner to play MLB.

Ahhh  Sorry I misworded my intention.  There were, I think 3 Heisman winners who played MLB.  Janowicz, Jackson and Tebow.  The last two faced Cy Young winners.

Consider having Google on patrol.
