With the local Hospitals once again doing elective surgeries, I had back surgery two months ago.
Next is Total Left Hip Replacement in two weeks.
Any suggestions or hints from folks that have been thru this surgery.
(I'm having Anterior surgery as opposed to Posterior.)
I had both of my knees replaced one morning twenty years ago, so I have a sense for some of the post surgery needs - frequently the Hip and Knee folks did rehab in the same "Class."

So far I have been fortunate enough to avoid any of those surgeries. My mother went thru the hip surgery. She said the recovery therapy is a real pain, but it is where success is either achieved or lost. Wishing you the best in your surgery and recovery.

I'm 78 years old. Had Back Surgery three months ago.
As I said, both my knees were replaced twenty years ago at the same surgery.
This past Christmas I slipped and fell and believe I damaged my left artificial knee - the Orthopedic surgeons believe it is simply pain from my arthritic left hip.
If I am correct, they'll be an additional surgery in a few months.
EDIT... corrected age typo

58? Must have been a finger slip. The picture with Rickover dates you possibly a little beyond that.
