Dec 6, 1955 the USS Atule SS 403 while changing berths struck a seawall, collapsed a wooden parking area and sank a Volkeswagon!
ODec 7th-As FDR said the next day "A Day that will live forever in Infamy."

AIR RAID, PEARL HARBOR. THIS IS NO DRILL Three more dates come to mind, 1963, I enlisted in the Naval Reserve. 1967, my last day on the ship. 1968, Received my Honorable discharge from the Naval Reserve. It wasn't til Monday, 8 Dec that F.D.R. gave his speech.
