Was very active in the old forum in the 90's/early 00's.  Drove down to Most Coast Bash with Ramjet, did a Torsk work weekend, met bunch of the New England crowd one time at Albacore.  Met Gil quite a few times when he'd come east and one time went to Houston.  Met lot of great people thru the old site during that time, and unfortunately lost one of the best couple years ago.  Gil's advertising business website was done on a converted desktop made into a web/email/file server I setup and maintained for him remotely til it was moved to a "cloud" based server

In 1998 Ron and Gil took a chance on someone with a f***ed up head and let him run their table at the Hagerstown USSVI convention. I still remember the shock from Ron when he found out how much was sold those days.   By doing that, it said maybe I could work again, and I did.  For 19 yrs I was the Sr. Systems Engineer at a college.

I run a car enthusiast website for old Dodges, and we too have seen the decline in postings,  we went from about couple hundred users down to 3 that post regularly.  As someone mentioned in another post,  Facebook Groups has taken over.   So it's now just kept as an archive for people to look back on and remember friends we lost.

So thanks again Ron and Gil..  like they say.. all good things come to an end.
